BLOTTER REPORT

REPORT OF A DEATH

Officers received a report of a death that had occurred at Ely State Prison. Officers identified the deceased as Clayton Wrencher age 49 a inmate at the prison. Wrencher was sent to the Clark County Coroners Office to determine his cause of death. The death is being investigated as a homicide. (more information here)

REPORT OF COWS IN THE ROADWAY

The owner of the cows was contacted and advised of the problem.

REPORT OF GRAFFITI

City— reporting party stated that someone had spray painted initials on his fence.

REPORT OF A GAS SKIP

The individual was located and he returned to pay for the gas.

REPORT OF A THEFT

City — reporting party stated that someone stole a bike from his yard.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK

City — the individual was located and was fine.

REPORT OF A BURGLARY

Reporting party stated that someone had stolen tools from his shop. Investigation continues.

City — reporting party stated that someone had spray painted initials on a building.

City — reporting party stated that a elderly female had a black eye and it is unknown how she received it. Investigation continues.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM

City — officer contacted the juveniles who were wrestling. No crime had occurred.

REPORT OF A RECKLESS DRIVER

The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM

City — the juvenile was contacted who was having a medical problem. He was returned home.

REPORT OF A SUICIDAL SUBJECT / DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE

Officer reported that the individual was located and was fine. During the officers investigation Jacob Chivers age 21 of McGill was arrested for domestic battery and discharging a firearm into a residence. He is accused of battering his girlfriend.

REPORT OF LOOSE GOATS

City — officer received a report of several goats eating the foliage at a local motel. The goats were captured.

REPORT OF INJURY TO PROPERTY

City — officer reported that a window on a local business had been broken.

REPORT OF A DISTURBANCE

City — officer contacted several individuals who had been involved in a fight. They were uncooperative in relaying the events on what took place. They were advised to keep the peace.

City — false alarm.

REPORT OF A FIGHT

City — officer contacted several of the individuals who were involved in the fight. They were advised to contact law enforcement when they sobered up to continue the investigation.

REPORT OF A DISTURBANCE

City — officer received a report of a individual yelling. The area was patrolled, but no one was located.

REPORT OF UNDERAGE DRINKERS IN A BAR

City — officer received a report of underage drinkers loitering at a local bar. Officers checked the bar and no one was located.

REPORT OF A DISTURBANCE

City — officer received a report of several individuals arguing. The area was patrolled, but no one was located.

REPORT OF A ARREST

City — officer reported that he observed a individual hiding under a car. The individual was identified as Austin M. Garcia age 18 of McGill. Garcia was arrested for minor in consumption

REPORT OF COWS IN THE ROADWAY

The report was given to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

REPORT OF A THEFT

Reporting party stated that several items including a glass hutch and a gun were stolen from his residence. Investigation continues.

REPORT OF A CIVIL PROBLEM / ARREST

City — officer received a report of a dispute over a ring. Officer reported that the matter was a civil problem. During the officers investigation Sharina M. McGarrah age 20 of Ely was arrested on a Wells Justice Court warrant for contempt of court

The individual was located and returned home.

City — the area was patrolled, but the ATV was not located.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE

Officer received a report of a domestic battery that had taken place. During the officers investigation a individual was identified as being the primary physical aggressor. Due to medical needs of the individual he was taken to E.R for treatment and will be arrested at a later date.

City — officer received a report of a loud music disturbance. The area was patrolled, but no music disturbance was located.

REPORT OF A DEATH

Officer reported that Kenneth D. Boatman Sr. age 76 of Ely died at his residence of natural causes.

REPORT OF A ATV RIDING ON THE ROADWAY

The area was patrolled, but the ATV was not located.

REPORT OF A FIGHT

City — officer located one of the parties involved who requested no involvement with law enforcement.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE

City — officer reported that a battery had taken place, but the suspect had fled the scene. The individual was located on August 19 and was identified as Andre V. Paez age 29 of Ruth.. He was arrested for domestic battery and interference with a telecommunication device.
